Africa

Everything in Africa bites, but the safari bug is worst of all

Looking for some seriously impressive and interesting facts about Africa? Look no further!

Did you know that Africa is home to the Nile River, the longest river in the world at a whopping 4,135 miles long? That’s almost enough to stretch from coast to coast in the United States! But the Nile isn’t the only impressive body of water in Africa. The continent is also home to the world’s largest lake, Lake Victoria, which covers an area of over 26,000 square miles. And if you’re into really big numbers, Africa is home to the world’s largest desert, the Sahara, which covers a staggering 3.5 million square miles. That’s bigger than the entire United States!

But Africa isn’t all about the water. It’s also home to the world’s tallest mountain (if you count it from base to peak), Mount Kilimanjaro, which stands an impressive 19,341 feet tall. And let’s not forget about the animals! Africa is home to the lion, the giraffe, and the elephant, just to name a few. But watch out for the crocodiles! They can grow up to 20 feet long and have been known to take down a full-grown gazelle in a single bite. Talk about impressive!
